Hi! Welcome to my A level media blog. My name is Molly Sullivan (0816).

I'm in Group 4 with Maisie MacGregor (0506), Mari Leach (0440), and Ellie Brackpool (0100)

You can navigate my blog by using the column on the right hand side where you will find the following labels:
A2 Prelim, A2 Research and Planning, A2 Production and also a link to all of the work I did for AS.
There's also a link to the Latymer music video blog as well as a live link to the group's Facebook group.

Website Flatplan

  • For our website we wanted to go for a very simplistic and visually aesthetic layout and design.
  • The top banner for our website will look different to how it is shown in the flat plan above. We don't want to keep the banner plain black; instead we want to fill it with a photo of the powder paint that we want to use in our music video, sticking to the colours on our album cover. This will create a repetitive pattern within the band's identity and branding.
  • We want the audience to be able to go onto our website and automatically see different photos of the artist - which will be various promo shots, music video stills, and behind-the-scene photos, as well as photos that upload directly from the artists' instagram page.
  • On the home page we also want there to be live links to YouTube videos of the artist's latest music video/behind the scenes video/tour video etc. to make it more interactive.
  • Alongside videos and pictures we want a live link to the artist's Soundcloud on the home page as well so the audience does not have to leave the page to listen to their song, this could be especially useful for new audience members who have just gone onto the artist's page to find out more about them.
  • However, we don't want to overwhelm the visitors to the website with too much information, so we have stuck to a really minimalistic layout in neat rows of three so there isn't too much to look at, at one time.
  • We decided that the most important tabs to have on the artist's website were: Home, News, Live, Gallery, Store, Contact. These pages will cover all of the most important things for both the artist and the audience, whilst not going too overboard, creating too many pages.
  • Another important feature on the website will be the links to the artist's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media site pages.
